Hungover
and very very tired, however got a text around 1am that my friends baby is getting much better, and will hopefully come off life support soon.

My little'un was in intensive care for 4 days after she was born
Properly shit me up I can tell you. Time seemed to stand still.
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 9:43, Reply)
yeah
she went in for a regular scan as the baby was a week overdue and withing 5 mins they were rushing her off for an emergency C section, the poor scrap was in a very bad state.

How awful.
Mine was 2 weeks early and delivered by Caesarean, but at least we always knew she'd be coming out of the sunroof - her mother is hugely diabetic and there was a pretty high risk of her going blind during the old 'pushing' routine....

Worth bearing in mind that they are soooo overcautious when it comes to babies - they go into intensive for really minor concerns simply because the little blighters are so fragile.

Pleased to hear things are improving. I wouldn't wish that on anyone (except perhaps Bowie).

my brother came out
about 7 weeks early with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck!

ah, a 'Devil child'.
I trust he was burned alive as a precaution?
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 9:58, Reply)
unfortunately not
and he has gone on to spawn a couple of bratlings as well

Oh I'm glad
There's me feeling like I should stop being 'fed up'.
Hope the bab keeps getting better.
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 9:43, Reply)
Why are you fed up honey bun?

(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 9:46, Reply)
Not too sure BeeGeeBee
Tired an unmotivated. I'd like to claim SAD, but maybe I'm just being a mopey cow.
It really doesn't suit me, and I should be chirpy as two people came in my pub just to flirt with me yesterday.
Anyway, I'm going to attempt to re-chirp today!!

It's probably due to a cheese deficiency

(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 9:53, Reply)
Oh shit!
What if it is???
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 9:54, Reply)
you'll get over it
and it'll be for the best

Does cheese do that endorphine thing?
Imagine if this really is a cheese comedown...
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:00, Reply)
dunno
I'm not much of a cheese eater unless it is melted so have never experienced a cheese rush
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:00, Reply)
Do what I did on Sunday
Buy shitloads of cheese. I have a lovely Brie de Meaux, some Gorgonzola Piccante and a couple of other choice nuggets.
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:02, Reply)
I've only just got rid of all my Christmas cheese
I was hoping to lose a few pounds so thought I should cut down on the fromagery...
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:03, Reply)
Gorgonzola piccante?
Isn't that a car?
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:04, Reply)
Yes,
it's very 'me', very 'now', very trendy psychedelic car.
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:05, Reply)
You're entitled to be a mopey cow now and then.
I bet Timmy Mallet even has down days.
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:05, Reply)
Yes, and if I hadn't slowed down I'd have become Su Pollard
Keraaazy (and possibly secretly suicidal)
:P
(, Tue 12 Jan 2010, 10:07, Reply)
when I lived in Islington
I saw Su Pollard in Angel Sainsbury's at least 7 visits out of 10. hanging around wearing 'look at me' earrings, hoping to be approached by a 'fan'.

That'll be me when I get fired from my pub quiz and no longer have 'public'
