I don't dispute that they were wrong in dosing up and leaving the kids, if that's what happened.
I very much doubt they killed her is all. If they disposed of the body in what amounted to a short space of time, then I think it would have been found by now.

they won't have had a lot of time to dump or bury a body, can't have gone far or spent much time away before raising the alarm.
