I've had normal dinners. I consider them a huge luxury now, at uni I live off the microwave and corned beef sandwiches. And if someone's daft enough to leave any bacon in the fridge, sarnies also make an appearance.
Another one is playing my music as loud as I want/not having to listen to anyone else's shite whilst at home.

But we don't have a fucking cooker, just a microwave. I don't do the microwave pasta meals, pasta has to be on my terms (green pesto, spices, herbs et all) and I can't do it in a microwave.
Because we have a cafeteria downstairs it's deemed that we don't need full cooking facilities. So in protest I refuse to buy anything in there. I'm surprised I haven't died from food poisoning so far, although I was touch and go after eating microwaved frozen steaks.

would you like me to ask my room-mate where she got hers/the brand?
(, Fri 15 Jan 2010, 12:48, Reply)
my room-mate has one (we smuggled a microwave in)
Edit: you can steam vegetables etc in it as well

main advantage though is that it means you don't have to walk to a kitchen with a stove
