This morning, I blow-dried and back combed my beard.
It is glorious and fluffy and massive and great and I love it.
What have you done recently that you count as one of life's litte luxuries?

I had a Wetherspoons Vindaloo last night
Not a luxury, you might argue, but the ridiculous amount of chilli they put into it is.
Then I wandered round the corner into a Fuller's pub which had London Porter on the hand pumps. Top evening.

Well for the past month
I've had normal dinners. I consider them a huge luxury now, at uni I live off the microwave and corned beef sandwiches. And if someone's daft enough to leave any bacon in the fridge, sarnies also make an appearance.
Another one is playing my music as loud as I want/not having to listen to anyone else's shite whilst at home.

I love pasta more than life itself
But we don't have a fucking cooker, just a microwave. I don't do the microwave pasta meals, pasta has to be on my terms (green pesto, spices, herbs et all) and I can't do it in a microwave.
Because we have a cafeteria downstairs it's deemed that we don't need full cooking facilities. So in protest I refuse to buy anything in there. I'm surprised I haven't died from food poisoning so far, although I was touch and go after eating microwaved frozen steaks.

I asked my parents for a duvet and some pillows for Christmas
Since daughter moved in and took over my bedroom I've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor in the living room, putting it down every night and putting it away every morning. During the summer it wasn't too bad and I slept under a sheet because it was warm. As it got cooler I opted for my sleeping bag which was warm but really restrictive. I was sleeping really badly and getting cold and that.
I would never have believed what a difference a good duvet and two good pillows would make. So that's now one of my little luxuries.

I've mentioned it before
but here is another opportunity! I got a lovely half price duck down duvet at xmas, king sized fucker, and my god, what a difference to the shitty hollowfibre abortion i had been using for 10 years. this thing is as light as, yes i know, a feather. However, there are no feathers in it, just down, but i suppose that is a type of feather.
I think about about when i am work to the detriment of everything else.
