and I can see why you are saying that, but that isn't quite what he is saying

the gist is, if someone is on here enough to get involved enough to be whinging, then they should contribute.

similarly, if someone were on here enough to applaud someone posting all the time.

there isn't a contradiction in the point.

The original point I raised is that people who moan pay money, people who over-react to moaning don't pay money. That's all I said.

I have since gone on to say that everyone should pay some money toward the site in order to keep it running.
