I'm going to bring this subject up one last time as I find it amusing
but I'm not trying to bully anyone and I would appreciate it if any mods think I'm being too offensive then just tell me and I'll remove this post, I don't want another ban, I learnt my lesson last time, thanks.

Anyway, my point is that the people who get all upset about other people saying they don't like a certain members posts have not contributed money to the website they like to defend with such hysterical vitriol, and indeed, neither has the poster that people like to moan about.

Now I'm not suggesting that paying should get you special treatment, but in general the people that have been moaning (and I admit I was one of them a while back, though more recently I've just ignored it) are people that have paid money to keep the website they like running.

Which reminds me, I should pay some more money.

that's why I made a point of saying "I'm not suggesting people who pay get special treatment" I'm merely pointing out that it's slightly hypocritical for people to get all self righteous about not getting criticised on their website when they don't contribute to it's upkeep.

I don't think the criticism is unwarranted or particularly harsh but some people do, and if the mods think it is unduly harsh then certainly they should step in regardless of who is making the criticism, but I think the people who moan ought to really stump up some readies for the site before they get on their high horses too much.

What contradiction?
1. People get upset and the mods step in. If their upsetment is justified then mods take action. This is fine.
2. If people are getting very involved with the website they ought to really pay, if they don't I don't think it should affect the way the mods deal with any concerns they raise, but it would be nice if they chipped in.

I accept the argument that everyone is entitled to post what they want.

I think the people that have got their knickers in a twist about the people who complained about the tedious lies have massively over-reacted. However, the mods are there to act as adjudicators and have done so in a reasonably fair manner. Well done mods.

In a separate issue it's interesting to note that the people who complained are the people who have icons and the people who over reacted don't have icons. I think the people who don't have icons ought to contribute some money to the website as it's a fun place to read and post stuff and keeping it going makes me happy.
