I needed to get out of my apartment tonight, so drove down to my favourite karaoke bar that's also a Mexican restaurant. Food was amazing, fun times were had singing shite songs and just....goood times in general.
Couldn't get a cab for an hour, so I stupidly drove home after around 6 beers. Sure, it's only less than a mile. But duh!!!! I'm a fucking idiot. I feel so lucky right now that I a) didn't hit anyone b) got home in one piece c) didn't get a DUI.
What's the last most idiotic fucking thing you've done?
And don't flame me. I understand I'm a moron for driving home, but believe me, now I am home I'm shaking like a leaf asking myself what the fuck.

But I grew up.
Take the flaming and don't do it again.

And I will take the flaming. Guess I also mean "dont' drive drunk, kids".
Since I got my one DUI, I haven't. I've made a point of taking cabs, or being the designated driver. I totally fucked up tonight, big style.
Why the fuck am I telling an internet board this??? Fucked if I know.

You will learn, but maybe not this time.

and can't believe I was stupid enough to drive home tonight. It's $10 each way in a cab. I'm a fucking moron.

"I learned the first time"
Well, clearly you didn't, eh? Or you wouldn't have done it again? Are you even reading what you type yourself?

I hate drink driving and usually won't do it but I wanted to get home to my own bed. Left the party and had to drive for an hour in dense fog. I was cacking myself.

There's no excuse for drink driving, ever.

And the four horsemen run amok, maybe (just maybe) that's a valid excuse...

I was stupid, acted like a mong, should have walked. Now that I'm home, I'm beating myself up about it, and I posted about it because it's a dumbass fucking thing to do!
And....I'm also trying to get the point across, that driving while intoxicated just isn't worth it.
(, Sat 30 Jan 2010, 10:07, Reply)
and I'm still shaking that I could be that stupid. Seriously shaking. I'm a dumbass. Stupid fucking thing to do.

Or maybe to hear a story of how someone close to a b3tan was mown down by a drunk driver and now feels a bit sick when they hear of someone getting a DUI and still repeating the same stupid behaviour?
If waiting an hour for a cab means not taking the chance on killing someone then I'd take that option, but if it's less than a mile then I'd walk it.

because I did an utterly stupid thing. We all say "what a dumb fuck" when someone screws up, but last night I screwed up. It can happen to any of us. Elicit sympathy? No.
More a case of we're all human, and I guess I just wanted to admit I fucked up big style.

- Drove to a bar and got pissed
- Could surely have got a taxi at midnight by asking the bar to phone for one.
- Didn't just get tipsy, had six beers. Since you're female that = ten beers for a man (different liver function), which is enough to get me hammered and I drink every day.
- risked getting a second DUI, aggravated by the amount you drank, and going to jail
In your defence, American cities are a fucking nightmare to get around if you don't want to use cars. That's about all I can think of.
Been done for drink-driving myself and would never do it again. Just think back to standing in the courtroom feeling this >< small..
