Winter
I hate it, it snowed 3 inches last night and they're calling for 36 more this weekend. Everytime it snows I listen to Duffy.
In December, before Christmas, I listen to Fly Leaf and Colbie Caillat.
The first warm day of spring I listen to Kenny Chesney.

Do you have a seasonal playlist?

You could make it better by not listening to Duffy.
Unless, by Duffy, you mean the Bassist famous for playing with Guns 'n' Roses.

it's what I want to listen to though.
Lets make this thread less about me and more about you.

Only good thing about the British winter
is listening to the Clientele's Strange geometry (spotify link) album. Sample lyric: "It gets dark at half-past three, and my own face inside the trees".

I start listening to the album as autumn kicks in for this number. Kills me every time.

If you check out www.last.fm/user/lost78 you'll see I've listened to that album a ridiculous number of times, mostly during cold, dark weather.

It's fully "psychedelic" or whatever I think for conoisseurs of such things here. I'd write about it as a qotw entry but I'm not sure it would interest many people, like all of my music stories apart from the libellous ones.

Another three feet?!? Oh, FUCK.
Those lazy bastards haven't even finished cleaning up what fell last Friday! The streets are going to be impassible for weeks!

Where did you hear this? The NWS is saying accumulations on Friday of less than an inch!

One bit of music
With an associated film clip which I sadly can't find. It's the bit from Wallace and Gromit's "A Grand Day Out" when the robot is picturing itself skiing down a hill.

Replace the robot with me and you have what I see and hear on loop for most of the day when it snows.

I've got two seasonal playlists, one summer and one winter
I can't remember the exact tracklisting of the summer one, or indeed, all the artists, but it does include Ash in large quantities and some New Order, the Charlatans, the Eagles, Placebo and Army of Anyone. And the Predator soundtrack for some reason.

The winter playlist includes a lot of Alpinestars, the Cooper Temple Clause, and Porcupine Tree and NIN. Again, couldn't tell you the tracklisting or the artists.
