I'm just out of hospital.
Back home with a big bag of painkillers and the memory of my own voice screaming in agony as two midwives, one Registrar and a student nurse tried to stop my writhing long enough to plunge a syringe of pethidine into my thigh. Having kidney stones is worse than having kids (not that I've had my kid yet, but I have it on good authority from a couple of nurses).
Then, stupidly, I come back on here and my pain increases once more at the sheer tedium.
