'gowl' is the only one I've picked up here tbh. They talk about the weather here A LOT because it rains pretty much constantly. Read 'Angela's Ashes' - I'm told it's a flawless capturing.

EDIT: rafter is pure Dub but I've explained that one before, I think. The insult of choice round my way is 'geebag' which is pure brilliant cos it's a bag of gee's and gee's = ladyfrontbottoms. So how anyone ever ended up with a bag of them yokes let alone being one is some mystery!
