I know there was a discussion the other day about the correct pronounciation of your username
but I still pronounce it the way I first heard it. Like, Vie-pross. Not Vipp-ross as it should be.

Sorry.

you first heard it like that?
who was saying it?
(, Tue 2 Mar 2010, 11:01, Reply)
The Voices.

EDIT: I meant, when I first 'saw it and assumed how it sounded'
DOUBLE EDIT: 'Cos it's derived from a Viper, innit?
(, Tue 2 Mar 2010, 11:03, Reply)
ah I see
and no, it's not from a viper ;-)
(, Tue 2 Mar 2010, 11:08, Reply)
I think I'm going to start pronouncing it (in my head)
with a silent S and pretend you're French.
(, Tue 2 Mar 2010, 11:24, Reply)
My instinct was always Vie-pross
Apologies if this is wrong but I'm past the age where my mind can be changed about anything. Same goes for Kim Basinger (Bass-in-jer). Base-in-ger my arse
(, Tue 2 Mar 2010, 11:02, Reply)
it doesn't really bother me how people pronounce it to themselves
I would imagine that in a real life situation that my real name would be used, so how you say my username is kind of irrelevant ;-)

however, I don't think I'd be able to help myself from calling Monty, Monty. Especially as we have the same name.

I still pronounce Gyllenhaal
with a G not a J, it just sounds wrong with a G.

I tend to refer to them by their Christian names
"Jake" and "would"
