There's a chap who hangs around these parts
who goes by the name Retardo von something-or-other. That's my favourite for a while.

My user name is derived from an eccentric friend of mine who genuinely referred to his penis as Colonel Santiago. He would allegedly 'feed' him yoghurt...

You've named youself after your mate's cock, eh?

Oh.
And I always thought you'd just spent too long playing Alpha Centauri.

Umm...
This means nothing to me. Please explain...

Perhaps my friend watched too much Alpha Centuri and that where HE got the name?

Evidently my assumption was very wrong
Alpha Centauri was a futuristic spin-off of the Civilisation games. Admittedly it's years since I played it, but I'm fairly sure one of the identities you could assume was a character called Colonel Santiago. So I thought you'd got it from there. Obviously not.

Just googled it...
The character appears to have been called Corazon Santiago and was a woman.

/Still no idea what a civilisation game is.

Ah, my mistake
As for Civilisation, google Sid Meier's Civilization (they probably americanis*ed the spelling), and if you have a couple of hours to kill one day, you can download the second one for free.

*See what I did there?

Doesn't 'Corazon' mean 'woman'?

(, Tue 2 Mar 2010, 11:25, Reply)
not even close
it's Spanish for heart

You know what
I'm not entirely mental: I've an LP with this track listing:

Barrabas - "Woman" (from Barrabas) (1972)
Creative Source - "Corazon" (from Migration) (1974)
Southside Movement - "Save the World" (1974)
The J.B.'s - "The Grunt (Part 1)"* (from Food for Thought) (1970)
Rufus Thomas - "Do the Funky Penguin (Part 2)"* (from STA-0112 7") (1971)
Shotgun - "Dynamite (The Bomb)"* (1977)
Gary Numan - "Films"* (from The Pleasure Principle) (1979
