Is there such a thing as too gramatically pedantic?
IN a letter to a hotel re: their website:

To whom it may concern,

Whilst I realise that a misplaced apostrophe is among the least of the concerns you may face on a day to day basis, the frankly poor quality of the grammar on the weblink below rather gives the impression that whoever writes these little marketing spiels has a less than adequate grasp of English grammar. This in turn reflects poorly on qhotels as a brand name.

www.thelinktothewebpagewiththeoffending-grammar.com

Offending sentences are:
"...and from every inch of it's immaculately restored white Portland stone façade."

"The Queens is a hotel proud of both its’ 1930’s Art Deco heritage"

Not only did the writer get it wrong, but managed to get the same grammatical structure wrong in two different ways within the space of a couple of sentences. It just looks like you've not made the effort, frankly. Yes, there are more important things in this world than rogue apostrophes, but in a text designed to impress with its eloquence it just looks unprofessional

Right, you don't need to hear any more from me, I think. Apologies in retrospect for the pedantry, but grammar is awesome, and not there to be so wilfully didregarded by lovely educated marketing types who wear designer suits and ought to know better.

I remain,

Remove "IN"
and in fact "a letter". Replace with "an e-mail".

Or something more interesting, I don't care.
