The first evening I met my Polish father-in-law I accidentaly offended him by commenting that to me spoken Polish and Russian sounded similar.He quite literally spat on the floor of their apartment in disgust!
I thought he wuz gonna kill me.

Ahawell some of them regard themselves as more russian than ukrainian, they are based near the border in Kharkiv so shouldn't be a problem
