How can your phone know you slept rather well?

(, Tue 30 Mar 2010, 9:15, 2 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
It uses the accelerometer to track your movements

more movement, lighter sleep I guess, then it graphs the night to show when you were in deep sleep, REM or awake.

So you have to have a phone strapped to some part of you body while you sleep?
Are you in hospital or something? Do you have a symbiotic relationship with a phone?

This depresses me greatly

it doesn't it just measures how much you're moving about.

You know what I do instead?
When I wake up and feel really tired, I know I havn't slept very well - and when I wake up feeling rested, I know I've slept well!.

It's an amazing system - I call it the i'Mnotacunt. I don't know HOW I could even survive without it.

I think I have found another use for this app
It could automatically call the undertaker if you don't move at all for a whole day. It would stop you getting all stinky so you could have an open casket funeral.
