Having been on them for over two weeks now
I have to say that I really don't understand how anyone could get addicted to oxycodone. It makes me feel rather lightheaded and makes it hard to think, it takes away my energy so that I just want to lie around, my temper is shorter than usual because it takes away some of the filters that keep me from saying harsh things when I'm slightly annoyed, and generally it makes me feel like I'm not wholly awake.

Seriously, I can't wait until I'm off of this crap. It's not fun at all. I just want to be able to have a decent sense of balance again so that I can get outside on my own now and then.

What supposedly nice things have you recently found to be completely overrated?

but within hours/days of being aff it you're body will somehow persuade or trick you into getting another hit...

I take it so that I can move around.
I'm on a schedule of 12-4-8 for taking it. If I take my 8pm dose I don't take the midnight or 4am ones, and only take the 8am one so I can get up and take a shower. Sometimes I skip the noon one altogether if I'm not moving around a lot. When I'm off of it the pain isn't really that bad unless I stand up or sit with my foot lowered. I figure that within a week I'll be off of it entirely.

Besides, the thought of being dependent on it bugs the fuck out of me.

I used to take co-codamols for back ache.
Fuck that shit. It used to make me so constipated I used to have to dig the turds out with a dessert spoon. My poor old blurter was ripped to shreads. Bastards were like concrete. 30 mins of straining for a tiny turd the size of the average b3tan's cock, making a disappointing plop as it hits the water. Mind you, there's no splash back so every cloud and all that.
