Finding out I have a fake boss called Malcolm Badger
It was set up so we could thwart unsolicited sales calls. If they ask for our boss by name we put them through, if they ask what our bosses name is we say "Malcolm Badger, but he is unavailable at the moment" If they ask for Malcolm Badger we make up more and more ridiculous reasons why he cannot come to the phone until they give up trying to sell us shit. Today we had a phone call from someone who claims to have spoken to the fictional Malcolm Badger for half an hour yesterday and had been told to call back today.

I don't have to do that.
I know for a fact that my boss won't speak to anyone. I can barely get him to speak to customers.

My boss is very good at what he does
and if he wants or needs something he does a lot of research. He never buys anything from people who phone up to sell him stuff. Hence the fun and games.
