The tune by Florence and the Machine
which seems to be in the background of every single fucking trail they run, meaning my half-hour of Sky News in the morning plants the song in my head and the chorus loops over and over until eventually I end up strangling some poor passer-by who walks too slowly in front of me.

I don't think I could successfully identify a song as being by Florence and the Machine

I quite like some of it
but it does get on my moobs when broadcast media hijack a perfectly good bit of music and play it relentlessly until you're homicidal.

there's a lot of stuff around at the moment that I quite like
at least in principle, but never actually want to listen to.

Like The Temper Trap, and Mumford and Sons. Pretty good, but it just doesn't hold my interest the way things like Tool and Wolfmother and Pink Floyd do.

Shit I have forgotten to check out Tool.

for shame....

You spend your life in Soho lavatories 'checking out Tool'

also check out a song called Rogue by the Correspondents
gentleman's hip hop

there's a bit in it that makes me think of you
"in a bar in a back street of soho,
there's a man, skunk-drunk and drinking solo,
this knackered old rogue has a tale or two to tell,
if your nostrils aren't offended by the smell"

I prefer A Perfect Circle.
But I'm old.

I really rate A Perfect Circle as well
Tool is nicely heavy and has some really interesting drum, bass and guitar intertwining.

I love Maynard's voice as well.

3 Libras = Genius
Everything else, pretty poor.

wrong
their cover of Imagine alone justifies their existence. Thirteenth Step is also a superb album

I want to be Florence.
I think she's lovely.
(, Fri 16 Apr 2010, 11:13, Reply)
I like Florence simply for her utterly un-PC first single
And I quote - "A kiss with a fist is better than none".

Genius.
