I've often thought about that.
It could be really ace as the security restrictions wouldn't need to be that heavy- I mean, what would a hijacker do? Try to cruise a ship into a bridge? It would be like in Austin Powers where he runs over a security guard with a steamroller and the guy spends about a half minute screaming "NOOOOOOO!" before he slowly gets squished.

A transatlantic passenger ferry would take many hundreds, if not thousands of passengers. All a hijacker would need to do would be to sink one in the middle of the sea to get a body count as high as 9/11.
