I reckon if I was a single-dad-with-custody or a single-dad-widdow, I'd be totally gutted by telivision adverts.
So many kids and household products are aimed at mums, and I can't think of a single one aimed at dads.

It's not like you can say to one company "Aim for dads" and another "Aim for mums" to make it even, it's not a practical thing to enforce, so I can't think up a solution, and there _are_ reasons why they're aimed at mums (being the principal demographic), but it's still something that would really make me gutted after watching a day of telly.

Come on Gonz, what about:
No more Nails,
Cuprinol,
and that advert about peeing?

I didn't think of DIY type stuff when I said household products.
But you're right, they seem to be aimed at men.

Actually, the differance is, they're aimed at 'men', where as the things that I was refering to was aimed to 'mums' (rather than 'women'), if that makes sense.

that's fair
in advert land, there is a difference

there were a few in the 90s
but they were unpopular and didn't go down so well, apparently. On TV it would appear we want men to be all masculine and crap at household jobs

I always think that when ads like Iceland
specifically say "that's why Mums go to Iceland". It would make me so sad if my mum had died.

Apparently Mums are pissed off and at a loose end
cos right now, they can't go to Iceland

I don't really watch adverts as they're all blah and there are way too many.
I tend to just buy whatever cleaning products work for me or what friends recommend.
