I'm not sure encasing the baby in boning is a good idea, it'll come out all funny shaped, like Stewie.

I'm currently learning how to do smocking though so at best I could make you a poorly constructed stretchy top. I do have some awesome cat newspaper fabric which is begging to be used.

I've had my sewing machine out this week, channeling my inner Molly Ringwald, altering voluminous dresses from the charity shop into somewhat more pleasing tent shapes.

sewing is underrated
it's great to see a dress on TV or somewhere and then make a replica. And like when you go shopping for a special occasion and you have something in your head but nothing in the shops is quite right.
