Yep, make the most of your bob.
And you actually will wear those again rather than the obvious Audrey brim job which will end up in a dusty box on top of your wardrobe.

And talking of Dusty ...

Dusty just pips Annie
but it was close because they're so different.

Etta James or Amy Winehouse - close enough for you?
BGB has a good eye; my first thoughts were for a floaty, but not too wide, brim hat. The flapper thing would work as well.
Very clever dress because it could be 60s easily.
Which way do you want to go?
(, Fri 30 Apr 2010, 10:12, Reply)
Flappery :)
Hahaha, you know it's Etta!
(, Fri 30 Apr 2010, 10:13, Reply)
Amy ain't even started yet.
But then, Etta ain't finished yet.
If only she'd had a better manager.

Flappery rocks and rools.

Somerville or Gift?

Not sure about the hat with it.
The lace dress is quite floaty and you need a lighter looking hat.

Fair dooz, I did consider a net thing or a bead cap
:)

I'm still putting in a vote for a fascinator
the type with feathers, and netting
(, Fri 30 Apr 2010, 10:19, Reply)
Possibly, aye, but vintagey
Ooh maybe Kitty could build one

Now yo' tinkin' girl.

Gerrin'!

(, Fri 30 Apr 2010, 10:23, Reply)
Sounds good to me
it wouldn't need much building depending how much usage you wanted out of it
(, Fri 30 Apr 2010, 10:26, Reply)
yarp.
I've been meaning to try out fascinator construction, so I'll give it a go and see what happens.

Ignore your mum, you'll look like this and it'll be awesome:
