Spend 1 hour in pisa the rest in Florence

But it does have an excellent pizzeria where you buy pizza by the metre.
The nightlife involves sitting on the wall by the river. Not any stretch of the river, oh no - a particular stretch around Piazza Garibaldi.

We've been told that by several people now
That's why we'll see the tower, then get the train to Florence and spend the rest of the weekend there.

Any idea how the trains work in Italy? Is it cheaper to buy tickets in advance? And if so, how can I do it (the web page doesn't go that far)?

I went to Venice last year
so it was all water boats.

Try the lonely planet page for it, they're usually pretty helpful with things like that.

We got a coach from Pisa airport to Florence
it was easy enough and by far the cheapest for the 8 of us.

That sounds like a good idea.
I need to do a bit of research on how to get to the Pisa Tower and then Florence. It should be cheaper than the train.
