After a full day's exposure to rubbish dance music, honey-voiced adult contemporary slush, and "sexy" gimmick-laden pop,I often have to redress the balance with something brash, roughly dissonant, completely non-musical or all three. AMM's first two albums are good for this, as is "Kill the King" by the Hafler Trio.
