Do you have any family/friends in the drug-squad?If yes, ask if you can borrow one of the 'sniffer-dogs' to bring on your visit. There is bound to be tons of good gear stashed and lost down the side of a sofa, in a sock drawer or slipped into the back of a book case. (Which is where I found my missing Northern Lights bag, lost since Xmas.)

I'd be tempted to go to a festival with a sniffer dogpretend to be plain clothes police and confiscate gear from tossers. but only if it looked like good gear
