Actually, whingeing introspection aside
I don't think I'd change anything. There are a few things I wish I'd not done, and a few things I wish I either had done or had done sooner. Admittedly I don't have any tragedy comparable to what happened to your brother that I might have been able to prevent - and I'm very sorry to hear about your brother, on that note.

But all the good bits and all the shit bits have contributed to a great deal of experience, and dragged me up in one way or another, rounding the corners off my awkward personality and making me the grumpy old bastard I am today. And, all in all, I can't really complain.

I was only small and with my mum at the time.
Not sure I could have done anything but I would like to have prevented it somehow.
