And I thought

1/4 price in tesco yesterday, got 6 packs!
the foie gras is one of my non-pc weaknesses that i always buy whenever passing through france, like we did on our way home from poland after our easter holidays.
in fact i always spend a good €300 "chez eduard" or somewhere similar just before we catch the ferry!

Haha
mine were 37p reduced in sainsburys. Clearly the people of the UK are not meeting their giant mushroom needs...
I've never had foie gras. If it's not a stupid question, what does it taste like?

Your name is similar to my first name
I think we should team up or do stuff to each other, and film it

You're just trying to make up for the sensible post below now aren't you

berk
by name, not quite *that* much of a berk by nature.
But thanks for the offer.

I don't take rejection well
and frankly a thread's just not a real thread on B3ta til somebody's made a rape joke.

So I'm going to rape you, and film it. Just kidding!

not really

so how many mahoosive mushrooms for 37p? i got 6 for 54p.
if you've never had it then it's not a stoopid question at all.
foie gras is not just about the taste, a huge element is the texture. it's the creamiest muthafluffin ting you never ate.
taste? imagine the softest and mildest tasting lambs liver, but without the lambey taste? like superfly chicken liver? it has the essence of goose (in this case, but you can also get duck foie gras) running through it but not in a heavy, meaty way.
best experienced rather than described, but that's down to my shitey describing skills.
don't ever let anyfolks with animal rights feelings let you know you've 'ad it, they will quite rightly go mental. it's a cruel food.

but fuck me, it tastes so good.

if my own child tasted so good then i would doubt she would sleep so well...

Yes,
I hear tell foie gras is a bit mean. It's not enough to just feed the goose, you have to grab it's little face and cannon food down it's throat. I'd probably try it (after all I've tried caviar, and the only thing I could think at the time was 'some poor cunt has paid a lot of money for what essentially has the taste and texture of fish jizz') but I'd feel too much of a right bastard to ever indulge. *wags finger*

I got a meagre 3 mushrooms. I'd feel somehow more cheated if I'd paid full price though..

it's only a rumour...
the poor goose farmers need to bodily restrain the geese to stop them nomming all of the tastey goose food. hence the face-grippage. anyone who suggests otherwise is a pinko-fascist/bnp scummbag not worth listening to.
poor goose farmers, they need to spend such a fortune on plasters and bandages and suchlike. not to mention the rsi from forcefeedind ahem restraining the darling little vicious buggers...

as for the mushrooms, i don't think you got too ripped off. that's only 13p/shroom! not bad!!
