I wish I could get away with still playing with stuff like that.
Never occurred to me to eat any though.

you're a student you can get away with anything
when I was at uni we used to sit around, get really stoned and mess about with play-doh (generally the 30 second sculpture challenge), play hangman on the magic sketcher and all manner of other exciting childish things.

We generally just get drunk and trash shit, but that sounds way more thrilling.
