It does take a couple of days to look good
as first it'll raise up a little bit and be all red, then when it heals it scabs over, so whilst it doesn't look scabby, it's not smooth to the touch or anything.

Colour won't hurt any more or less, some people find the outline of the tattoo hurts more than the rest because the needles are concentrated to a single thick point rather than spaced out like they are for the filling.

It is definitely worth at least drawing what you want on yourself with pen, I did that for the one on my ribs to see how much it took over my body and make sure it didn't overwhelm it.

I have a little one exactly where you described and it was the least painful of all my tattoos. However, it probably will stretch if and when I get pregnant or fat, but as long as you exercise and stuff it should go back.

Am I allowed to have a look when we meet?
I think I want a little dragon, hiding the tail in my underwear. A friend of mine makes temporary ones, but I've heard they fade and look quite bad.

So, if I do it, should I give it, I don't know, 2 weeks to look good and nice?

Yes of course
that'll cause some b3ta rumours!

The dragon sounds cute, I want a little dragon on my inner thigh, like the one Angelina Jolie has on her arm, I like that one.

I had a temporary one when I was 16 and it turned out to not be so temporary, it had hardly faded at all by the time I was 21 so I had it covered with a real one. I wouldn't trust a temporary one at all, the nature of tattoos suggests they are not temporary. Get a friend to draw one on with a marker pen and see what you think.

I'd say 2 weeks would be fine, it will have healed by then and it won't be itchy as hell anymore!

ZOMG! Aberaccion and Kitty are gonna do it!
But yeah, as Kitty says, I'd stay away from temp tattoos, and just draw one on in non-permanent marker.

2 weeks would be just about right
If I do it before the wedding I can tell him I want him to keep his hands (and cock) out of me, to add excitement. I think I can just manage 2 weeks.

I've always liked the dragon one, maybe in red and green. I find all black tattoos scary.

I'm very excited about seeing yours :)

uhoh, it's black
you racist.

:D
Sorry, I forgot my PC.

I like colours all the time; if I'm going to have something in my skin forever I don't want it to be all black.

I agree to be honest
I want to get all of my black ones dusted with colour on the oustide of them to make them more interesting, I just can't afford it yet. Especially the big one, that cost £180 in the first place.

EDIT: I've found a picture where you can see the little tattoo, I'll just link it because it's a bikini pic so a little NSFW:

Ouch!
That's a lot of money.

Well, thanks for all the advice, I'm going home now.

Have a good evening.

I won't mention how much my third/sleeve cost me then...

thanks
It does turn heads, but not usually for the right reasons.

shape of it (i.e. the line it follows) looks really good
and it's the sort of style that appeals to my tastes.

have a gold star.

I know people with similar temp tattoo experience
5 years down the line and it looked like they'd had a really bad blurry tattoo.
(, Mon 7 Jun 2010, 16:40, Reply)
mine was a tiny little daisy
so it wasn't too bad. Except for the fact that it was a tiny little fucking daisy. People thought I'd drawn it on with pen.

a friend had a lizard on her foot
it looked like an old man's tattoo that is kind of blue and blurry
