Although I saw about 30 or so people leave during Irreversible, as that's pretty graphic.

With the scenes shown in reverse like Memento. Basically, it starts with one guy, fucked on drugs and drunk with revenge, stalking another guy in a hardcore Parisian gay club, then he gets beaten to death (very graphically) with a fire extinguisher. Later on there's a harrowing scene where his missus is anally raped in a subway, in a single-shot scene that lasts about 10 minutes with no cutaways.

The graphic violence in last night's film didn't really bother me as it was no worse than anything Tarantino puts out there, so I was surprised at how many people were offended by it. Uma Thurman gets the shit shot out of her in the opening scenes of Kill Bill.

The cinematography is odd at first, the camera moves and blurs a lot to symbolise the guy's anger, drug-use and fucked-up-ness. Motion sickness would be troubling for that film.

I think it was called Antichrist or something. Apparently that's got graphic female self-mutilation scenes and a rather nasty castration in it. It all takes place in a cabin in the woods which is why I won't watch it.

I've heard that film's alright, and I do like Willem Defoe as an actor. He's awesome in one of my favourite films, The Boondock Saints.

That and clowns. But that's a given really.
I love Willem Defoe. He was great in Speed 2 haha
