Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is a bit bizarre (and good.) A Samurai film that was a bit odd was Zatoichi, All About my Mother is the best Almodovar film. I'm sure I'll think of more in a moment

stuff like Tokyo Story, Ikiru, the adaption of the Makiota sisters.
