is good advice. VW Polos are cheap to run and built like brick shithouses. A Fiat Panda would be dead cheap to insure, but you'd spend the money saved (multiplied by a large factor) on keeping it going, because it's Italian. Same goes for the Pug. And avoid Clios for that reason.

Micras are shit. They always seem to be at the front of every traffic queue, mainly because they're driven by old duffers in flat caps or maiden aunts who are scared of their own shadow. Avoid.
