it'll look good
and probably be reasonably entertaining. I just cannot see how it could possibly bring about any tears. It's not like the characters have a whole lot of depth.

Nice one, thank's for telling us all that the guy has grown up and has given the kid of his own Woodie and the gang while the kid is in hospital, or something like that.
... and then it's at the funeral of the kid and everyone is sad and they put the toy with the kid's body in the coffin.


Oh man, I should totally be an idea's man for movies.

I assume it will play on fear of abandonment
and remind us all of the frailty of childhood innocence. From what little I know of the storyline
