I don't really know /offtopic well enough. I still don't understand qotw, at the moment it seems to be a load of people whinging about not finishing computer games. Do people really read that stuff?

I blame the increasingly tolerant fluffy younger crowd.

I've even been thinking up some crap to put on qotw just to entertain myself.
I love being on holiday and all that but so far all I've done is eat and sleep. Now downloading some US crap to watch for forty minutes.

I used to contribute quite regularly. Nowadays I have a cycle of
- Wait until Thursday
- Check 'Best of' page for any good stories
- See what new question is
- Facepalm
- Sigh resignedly
- Wait until next Thursday
(This is perhaps a little unfair, but the last couple of questions have been a bit weak)
Edit: Actually, I do wonder whether /offtopic, whilst initially created to deter people from wandering off-topic when answering the qotw, has actually drawn away a lot of the people that used to make dull questions more interesting by - ironically enough - wandering off-topic.

I must concede it's been one of the best suggestions for a while.

Especially since the story was actually completely true
