Council tax is definitely on the radar, my trip to Ikea is soon and thanks for the tip about the overpayments.

I was going to channel it back into the house but via savings and doing it up, but I think I'll just overpay by £100 each month!

it's worth doing the place up as well
but paying into the mortgage will be more rewarding than a savings account in the long run.
