Is it a way of making sure thay can't get divorced until its all payed for. Or, if parents are paying, a way for them to make sarcastic comments when you are divorced.
I really hope you have a loving, long lasting marriage, but the wedding can go fuck itself.
Is that an incongruancy?

I'm happy with a few friends, but Mark has A LOT of friends, so it didn't seem fair.
I've told my parents I don't want any fancy food. Paella or some kind of rice, something filling and cheap, that'll do.

But again, I don't want to offer the British some British food. The woman in the hotel got quite upset that I didn't agree with her that it was the best meal for the guiris, and said it had always been a success between your type of people.
