I remember a game coming out for the pc
and my mate being concerned that 35meg installation was too much

obviously I remember BBCs and Spectrums and stuff as well, but they don't count

11 years ago I worked in a camera shop
8mb cards were £120

My dad worked on computers in the 60s and it was 50p a byte - but they were HAND WOVEN!

My first hard drive...
...420mb. On an Amiga.

And that was ten times the size of the drives some of them came bundled with.

I've got 12gb of music on mine
and 1.6gb of apps. The best app I've found so far isn't a game - I'm not really keen on those, I prefer things like the .pdf readers and the books that can be read on there - it's obviously smaller than a Kindle, but it's not that bad.
I love ReadMore - it's only a timer that you add the title and page numbers of the book you're currently reading but it's brilliant to see what I've read so far this month and how far I am through my current book.
I know, this is even sadder than the bird thing I mentioned above.
Kill me now.

It's not free but it's the one app I use almost every day.
