'Chicken on the M4'
You should definitely play that.

morning Monty you rapscallion
how goes it?

OK thanks young man.
Looking forward to DJing tonight.

Less so to my cat moving to Farnborough, to my ex's parents', start of Aug. His quality of life is terrible cooped up in my flat all day and in Farnborough he'll have a garden and safer roads.

I fear I will be needing to sublet my flat soon, something impossible with a cat there so I had to take the decision. I love the fat cunt so it's a very sad day...

How are YOU?

Oh seriously, I'm sad about the cat thing
Pets are a millstone round your neck in terms of accommodation/going on holiday etc, but they're so ace.

My life just gets shitter and shitter these days...

glad to hear it
shame about the cat, but it sounds like it is for the greater good.

I'm alright. Slightly over-indulged last night so am feeling rather sleepy today. Looking forward to gigging tonight and tomorrow. Our quality has stepped up a notch in the last few weeks, so tending to worry less about making mistakes and such. Also, our new songs are quite a lot more interesting than some of the old stuff.

I'm looking forward to melting some faces.

Excellent!
Has your vocalist calmed down a bit, then? He was a little bit from the Brian Blessed school a while back, I thought...

his singing has got better certainly
but he does tend to shout a bit when he gets carried away. there's not a great deal we can do about it.

hopefully the glorious sounds of his new Martin acoustic guitar will help.

They're lovely guitars.

they really are
I'm kind of fixating on getting a Danelectro electric 12 string at the moment. I need it in my life.
(, Fri 9 Jul 2010, 12:35, Reply)
My pal bought a Fender 12 string
last year, but flogged it, when he realised how different the sound was from the Rickenbacker he was hoping to emulate. Bought a Jazzmaster instead - sounds great, but is a horrible turquoise colour...

Rickenbacker 12s are unusual
they are strung differently for a start.

The good thing about the Danelectro (other than Jimmy Page using the 6 string version) is that it is under £350
