I've just been reading the timeline of Khyra Ishaq's death.

It really upsets me that such a thing could happen to a child.
What's worse is that her "father" has the nerve to say her death was '"absolutely disgraceful". He says he feels let down by the authorities.' Well, where the fuck were you when she was starving to death?

I would probably become a depressed embittered weirdo and develop right-wing opinions about "Broken Britain" and why poor stupid people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

DIsgusting, those people aren't human, the parents I mean, they aren't human in my books, you wouldn't do that to an animal, let alone your own child. Fucking sick, and I hope they have a real rough time in prison.
I feel really sorry for the 'name and shamed' social workers, presuming one of the papers is going to shame them, put yourself in their books, they don't take on the inevitable hate campaigns on their wages, but court orders should have been given ealier, simple rules: Refuse entery and automatic going to courts for entery, on an emergancy warrent, don't really care if it creates a shitload of overtime.

But that's my view, I don't know if it is 'right' or 'wrong', and I'm glad I'm not a judge.

Yes, why?
They didn't do their job, which aided the murder. Perhaps not intentionally, but there was plenty of opportunity to prevent what happened.

Yes and no.
They're on around £14k to see some of the most horrifc things their area has to offer, have like 500 families each to deal with, were reffused access to the house so had no right to barge in*, would most probably be voilently assaulted if they did attempt entery, facing voilance on a weekly basis. The fact is, they _did_ do their job, they just didn't do it well, and I think I in that possition could not guarntee I've done the job well for each and every one.

And now they're personally being named, they don't get paid nearly enough to be responcible for the entire system, and will be made into a Public Enemy by the press (i'm guessing).

'The System' should be named and shamed, not the indvidiuals.
