DD supporting NIN. Don't recall much of them, but Coin Operated Boy was awesome.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were great live, but the crowd was full of preened teen indies, who looked like they'd spent hours getting ready to go to a fucking GIG.

So I was saved from all the pretentious indie crap. You don't get dressed up to go to a gig for fucks sake, you dress comfortably and sensibly for being crushed and jumping around. Apart from Emilie Autumn, I got very dressed up for that cos that's part of the fun with EA, everyone put so much effort in to suit the mood.

Especially when some girls and boys (and some I wasn't sure of) came out of the crowd horrified at how sweaty they'd got.

I played that the last time I went to Afflecks. It was full of pretentious androgynous wankers with side-swept fringes. Sigh. I remember when it used to be cool...

It's a shame they're on hiatus. Although I suspect Amanda Palmer's solo act is pretty good too. She was lovely when I met her.

I'm so jealous! Have you heard the song Leeds United from her solo album?

I've not gotten round to buying any of her solo stuff. And I only met her very briefly, but she did give me a flower..
