I'm so crap with those games. I don't know how I do it, but my villagers always die in 5min. Always of starvation. Even if I'm in the super easy mode and they get the best island to start with.

I played Black & White many years ago
and I could resist setting the volcano off and killing everyone. Every time.

I spent hours flinging people into the sea, lava, their families etc
Then I moved on to creating elaborate piles of rocks on a hillside, then chucking villagers at them until they rolled down and crushed everyone.

I couldn't fight the pirates
in Anno, I think it was, because I felt pity for them. That's one of the reasons I lost all the time, I think.
