Ours is alright, just have to self-sign when we get back if it's only a day.

so I'd probably be ok. But I'm playing my martyr card as teh other girl is on holiday and they would be screwed without me

So he's got to visit you at home to check every time you get sick?

Basically, if you have lots of one or two day spells of sickness, a score mounts up that triggers action once you get to a certain threshhold (125 I think). Conversely, if you have two fortnightly spells of sicknesss, you score less because of the way it's worked out. It's supposed to discourage people taking Monday and Friday sickies, but most of my spells of sickness have been one or two days as when I'm starting to feel shit I take to my bed and dose up on drugs, which usually sorts it out quickly, so I can get back to work and not disrupt things too much.
It's a bit shit if you ask me. You could have ten days off, individually, and get hauled in by HR, but if you had 24 days off in two blocks of a fortnight, nothing would happen.

Just saying you're not marketing yourself to your full potential. You have unrealised commodities.

I thought women thought hairless men were "weird, wrong and abhorrent".
Oh, or you're saying that I am weird, wrong and abhorrent, and epilating helps advertise as such to others, so they can cross the road to avoid me...
(, Tue 3 Aug 2010, 10:06, Reply)
I can't stand men with hair in their shoulders, back or belly.
(, Tue 3 Aug 2010, 10:15, Reply)
But I'm blessed in that I don't have hair in those places.

My brother is like a bear and I'm trying to convince him to epilate his back and neck.
In Tenerife, guys usually epilate all but armpits and genitalia, although they trim those.

In other news. My phone is awesome and I wasted a lot of my life looking at all the apps yesterday

I only have the wildfire (much cheaper) but I'm in love with it. Get google sky and google goggles at least! And the navigator is pretty good too. And task killer will save you tons of battery.
(, Tue 3 Aug 2010, 9:48, Reply)
and spent 20 mins taking pics of everything with google goggles!
The GPS on it is fantastic though it found my location to pretty much the house on maps! And I like how when you turn it on you get pretty screen graphics relating to the weather.
Weirdly though it went through all my facebook friends and pulled out mobile numbers which it then put in my phone book. I may deactivate the facebook link as I hate facebook.
And it connects to my wifi which was the single most annoying thing about my last phone (apart from the fact it was wank)
OOOH I got me amazing F1/MotoGP/Rally apps as well so I can keep up to date with my motomadness! I may look for a tennis one too

if it starts ringing and you're on a meeting or a quiet place, you only need to put it face down or pick it from the table, and it stops making noise. It doesn't cancel the call until you press the button, just stops the ringtone. Brilliant.
We had to use the navigator on Sat in Altrincham and it did work very well indeed.

What's the name of the F1 app? I'll love to know live next time Hamilton breaks the car!
(, Tue 3 Aug 2010, 10:04, Reply)
I just searched F1. It's not as shiny as the MotoGPone but it's still pretty awesome!
