this is too dull (and possibly stupid) to start a thread, so I'll ask it here
I'm taking everything off my computer in an attempt to make it work. If I move the firefox and thunderbird folders onto my external harddrive then put them back on the computer afterwards, will this include my bookmarked pages and my e-mails?

you'll have to make a personal folder for your emails and back up your bookmarks within firefox.
F1 on both programs will help.

Install xmarks for your firefox bookmarks. Then you can access them from any computer
