I got introduced to them recently
you have a thing in google or something (that's your aggregator) and it shows you new articles from your selected sites whenever they are updated. Good for magazine stuff and webcomics

It depends what you're into
I have things like BBC News and that to keep up with the news, Gizmodo to keep up with gadgets and technology announcements, and things like Failbooking, Lamebook and FMyLife for amusement. Oh, and a daily Dilbert comic.
