I had the same thing happen the other day
They all look middle aged!

This made me feel old, until I was asked if I was over 25 when I bought scissors

I had someone refuse to chat to me in a pub
because she thought I was in my early twenties and therefore had nothing of any interest to say.
This made me feel good for at least five minutes until I remembered that it was quite dark in there. Sadly this was also about five years ago.

I think I might take it on. I shall refuse to speak to anyone younger than me, unless they are both male and hot

I'd do this
but I think pretty soon I'd run out of people to talk to and also I'd get the sack from work. Students tend to be younger than me.
