Yes
But it had to be made.

I fancy Scandinavia too. I've never made it to any part of the Nordic region yet. I've been to Estonia, which is as close as I've come to it.

I'm a quarter Dutch.

(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 8:45, Reply)
Hence your tallness?

(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 8:47, Reply)
That and my dad was over 6ft but he was from Lancashire.

(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 8:49, Reply)
You have good tall genes then!
The Dutch are the tallest nation in the world, I believe. Your average Dutchman is a good three inches taller than your average Brit. Even the women are all about as tall as the British male.

this is true, my cousin Jaco is a good head and a half taller then I am.
I'm half dutch but got my grandma's short genes.

*sniggers at 'good head' phrase*
Are you a bit of a short arse then? I somehow imagined you to be tall and thin. Don't know why.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:10, Reply)
I'm 5'4, which isn't that short I suppose,
but I'm the smallest in my family in height and stature.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:13, Reply)
It's about average in the UK for a woman
You'll blend in!
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:21, Reply)
it's upsetting that the average is that short

(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:29, Reply)
Oh the little people,
how you pity them.

I lived in Wales for 4 years
it was like munchkin country.

I dated a Dutch girl briefly...
...I'm a smidge over 5' 11" and I was the shortarse when we went out with her mates.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:38, Reply)
I've been to Poland and Latvia
I think you fly in a weird way and go over Scandinavia to get to both places.
This might be a lie.

We flew over Denmark and the bottom end of Sweden to get to Estonia
I could see the Øresund bridge out of the window.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 8:55, Reply)
Yay, we're going on that bridge!!!

(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 8:59, Reply)
I'd like to do that

I played guitar
for indie also-rans Revolver in Bergen, Norway once.

'Alcoholocaust' would be a fair assessment - no mean feat in a country where beer was £4.50 a pint at a time when it was about half that over here.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:29, Reply)
*weeps*
That's positively inhuman.

Mind you, the Finns - who've no unltra-stringent taxation on alcohol seem to have booze problems that would shame us Brits.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 9:42, Reply)
Not good, combined with the massive amounts of firearms they have
