They say that being a parent is incredibly difficult, especially if you're doing it right.
I know the first half of that to be true. I'm just hoping that they're right about the second part.

I'd never make it as a parent, so I reckon as long as they're happy, clothed, fed, don't act like mongs in public and have a roof over their heads they're probably doing alright.

Today was a lesson in why one can't right all of the world's wrongs, and why it's not feasible to transport a stray cat and her tiny kitten for eleven hours in a cardboard box in a car, just because the local animal shelter was full and she has to go home for the summer.

The negotiations were slightly less fun than chewing barbed wire.
