he got the Big C. Three Times. He now can't work. He has no vocal cords, no thyroid gland, and has lost a lost of muscle that had become cancerous. He has limited movement, has to take 20 different tablets a day, some of them up to 3 times a day.
I cannot remember my dad's voice.
So if you want to stop smoking, think about what it'd be like if your future kids grew up with a dad who is always angry because he can't work, and takes it out on them. If they can't remember his voice at all, and it's just normal that he's always sick and has to go back to the doctors for checkups.
Really think about how it's going to affect your life in the future and I bet you'll quit somehow.

that's highly commendable. I am 28 and have just started to do the same. I was a right waster until last year and now everything is on track. If you're smart enough to make changes at 18 you have every chance.

But I really and truly can't remember his voice. I remember him smoking a lot - then after the cancer, he started drinking a lot. Make sure you don't make the same mistakes please.
If you go to the docs they're usually pretty good about helping you stop I think.
