I hate James
It reminds me of being in the 6th form and being baffled at the popularity of the big name bands around at the time:

James
Carter USM
The Levellers
Suede

This is a position I have found myself in
ever since I was old enough to worked out what a band was.

Shut up and be rude about my mother

I have had to endure Brett Anderson at first hand on several occasions.
He is an even bigger tosser than you might think. Now I know you are probably thinking 'that's simply not possible, Monty' - but it is.

Monty in "I don't like this shocker"
I'm going to build up a full page. Shouldn't take more than 2 threads.

If that.

I really tried to like Suede, just to be part of the gang
but it's like nails down a blackboard to my ears. I even learnt the words to "Animal Nitrate" but it was no good, my brain refused to find any enjoyment in their music.

They were entirely without merit.

I saw the levellers live the other week. Pretty good.

They're good blokes.
I wouldn't buy a record off them, mind. Somewhere in my house I have a great tape of theirs from before they were signed: it's way better than any official releases. This is also massively true of Ozric Tentacles.

Ozrics would probably agree with you

Their 'Live Ethereal Cereal' tape
made it onto CD a few years ago - it's fucking supreme. They were so much more hard-sounding in the pre-deal years.

Ever heard The Ullulators?
Ozrics offshoot - one of the best live shows I've ever seen (LSD played a part though)
