I wish people would try and fix things themselves,but because they know that I can usually figure out how to fix things they don't even bother, they just ring me. I fucking hate it, I left IT for a reason.

I find the sameI fix almost all problems with computers that people have here, and the way I do it is by having a rough idea of how to use the software and then following some sensible avenues of investigation.
The level of ineptitude with IT in my office baffles me.
